Happy Fundraising Friday! If you’re looking for fun, easy ways you can help us out without making a huge time commitment, this is the place for you!
This week’s Fundraising Friday idea is a dinner party.
A simple dessert party table
Most of us like to have dinner with friends. Why not turn your next night out into a mini fundraiser? It’s fun for everybody involved and it can be really easy.
Step 1: Decide what type of dinner you want to have. Do you love cooking and party planning? Then maybe you’d like to host a set down dinner party. Do you prefer casual parties or just not have a lot of time? Maybe a tapas party or pizza party is more your style. Do you hate cooking? You can host a dessert party instead (nobody has ever said no to dessert and if you aren’t a baker, we won’t tell if you pick a few things up at your favourite bakery instead).
Step 2: Decide how you will collect donations. For a sit down dinner you could change per plate. For something more casual or a dessert party it’s probably better to just let your guests know why you’re throwing the party and ask them to bring a small donation of either money or some of the items from our wish list.
Step 3: Pick a date, time and location then invite your friends. Don’t forget to tell them about paws and tails and give details about your fundraiser.
Step 4: Plan your menu. You can also plan music, decorations (to match our logo, of course!) or activities if you’d like.
Step 5: Cook or bake (or buy) your food then enjoy the party.
Step 6: After your party is over and you’ve collected some donations, contact Natalie at pawsandtailsfundraising at gmail dot com to arrange to drop off or mail in your donation.
If you’d like to host a party for Paws & Tails but aren’t sure how to get started, want some ideas or need help with the details, please contact Natalie at pawsandtailsfundraising at gmail dot com.
